Play Scripts Come to Life

During our Literacy lessons we have been studying the genre of play scripts. We explored many plays including scenes from Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The pupils discovered through drama how a scene develops and realised the importance of clear speech, stage directions and props. The pupils then invented and wrote their own short play scripts based on Halloween. They were then given the opportunity to act out spooky play scenes at our whole school Halloween assembly. The pupils were all very excited and enjoyed getting dressed up for the occasion.
