Following on from our World Around Us topic of 'Rescue at Sea', we made our own boats and tested them to see if they would:
- Float
- Move
- Hold 5 passengers.
We used tin foil, a straw, card and plasticine.
We were not allowed to use scissors or any other joining materials.
We tested our boats with 5 multi link cubes as our passengers. ALL our boats met all of our test criteria but a few did take on a little bit of water.
We had lots of fun this afternoon! However, I don't think jobs in Harland and Wolff are under any threat from our budding engineers at the minute!
