British Heart Foundation Fund Raising Event
School Council Skip into Action
Well done to all the pupils of St. Patrick’s Primary who took part in the Jump Rope For Heart Programme, organised by our School Council, on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
The Pupils have been practising hard, working on a range of individual, partner and group skipping techniques like the Scissors, Cross Overs and the Twister. They also have been learning about the importance of exercise and keeping their hearts healthy.
On Thursday 3rd December we held our first ever Jump Off, where the children got the opportunity to show off some of their skipping skills. It was a fun packed day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and challenges. A special thanks goes to Edel Foy, from Tesco, Lurgan who provided all the pupils with a healthy snack and drink.
The Jump Rope For Heart Programme has enabled The School Council to raise over £1500 for the British Heart Foundation, which is a Fantastic amount of money!
Congratulations to those individual children who raised £50 and over! They received a Digital Skipping Rope!
A huge thank you to everybody involved and especially to everyone who sponsored the children and contributed to such a worthy cause:
“The BHF has transformed the lives of tens of millions of people living with cardiovascular disease and their work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease”.
