On Friday 16th March Ulster GAA, in conjunction with Ulster Rugby and the Irish Football Association, delivered a 'Sport for Peace Day' under the Peace IV Sport Uniting Communities Programme. St. Michaels GAC, Magheralin was chosen to host the event. The aim of the day was to promote peace and reconciliation through sport. St. Patrick's P.S. Magheralin, Maralin P.S. and Rowendale I.P.S. came to mix together in an informal and enjoyable atmosphere. Even though the day was wet and cold the events were enjoyed by all the children, especially the lovely lunch bags provided by the team.
