We celebrated the feast of St. Brigid on the 1st of February. Throughout the week we have been learning about her life and her work. Our class were very lucky to have Fr. McConville come to visit us on Tuesday. He brought freshly cut rushes with him and he gave a masterclass on how to make the cross. Most of the children in the room - including Mrs. Corbett - had never made a St. Brigid's cross before.
After a few confusing moments, we all managed to follow Fr. McConville's lead and we were all delighted with our efforts! We were able to bring our crosses home. We pray that St. Brigid protects us and our homes in 2019.
