Statement from Friends of St.Patrick’s Committee.

We recently held our AGM where we made a number of decisions on spend of current money as well as our events for this school year.

The committee is made up of Fearghal Laverty, Chair, Bronagh Mulholland, Secretary & Treasurer as well as various other committee members.

We have agreed to spend up to £5000 on purchasing I Pads, Bug Club (an interactive electronic literacy package for students, teachers & parents) as well as updating the schools IT infrastructure.

We are also in negotiations with O’Neills regarding a sports top, possibly a 1/2 zip, that we will subsidise for those wishing to purchase.

Other areas we are currently exploring include purchasing a bike stand for the school.

We have a number of social events planned in the next few months; our annual quiz is in Byrnes on the 29th April and a Nite at the Races on the 24th June. We also are planning a few film afternoons (subject to hall availability) before the end of the school year for the children.

Plans for next year include a Gala Dinner as the school will be celebrating 60 years.
